The PBL of Glendale Heights did an outstanding job of hosting the 82 teams and 10 divisions that descended up to Glendale Heights, IL last weekend, as both venues of Libertyville Sports Complex and Joy of the Game were home to two days of great Filipino American Basketball. The greatest weekend of the year for all the Filipino Americans ballers in this side of the planet. The opening ceremonies at Libertyville Sports Complex went very well, with all the member cities showcasing their colours, teams and respective muses. There were some great keynote speeches made as well, including the Welcome Address from the newly elected FBA- NA Commissioner Eddie Semira, PBA Great (13 time PBA Champion) and PBA Legends USA President Abe King and 3-time NBA Champion Dickie Simpkins of the Chicago Bulls. He talked about learning, listetning to one another and respect but when he asked all the players "WHAT TIME IS IT" the atmosphere went from serious to excitement. Everybody inside the complex answered back in a very loud GAMETIME!!! and this really set the tone for the rest of the tournament.

The Open, Ladies, Juvenile and Midget Division games were played at Joy of the Game (www.joyofthegame.com), a complex where the greatest basketball player of last century Michael Jordan is known to come in from time to time to shoot around. There are others Chicago Bulls players come to hone their skills during summer time.

The Tykes, Peewee, Bantam, Girls, Senior and the Master Division were showcasing their skills and abilities on the court at the famed Libertyville Sports Complex about a 20 minutes drive from Joy of the Game.

The 6th FBA- NA Inter-city Tournament is set on the 4th and 5th of September 2010 at Mississauga, Canada and it will be hosted by PHYBA (Peel Halton Youth Basketball Association) One Vision. One Purpose. One Legacy to Make.
